Frank Patrick LAVERDURE

LAVERDURE, FRANK PATRICK-- Frank Patrick LaVerdure was born Jan 17, 1938, in Dunseith, N.D., and passed away Monday, May 30, 2005, in Portland from health complications. Frank was a member of the Boiler Maker Union Local Number 72 since he was 17 years old and, due to a stroke in his 40s, had an early retirement from the Union. Frank was a motorcycle enthusiast and an amateur racer. He was a pioneer in the early stages of sky diving and one of the first in the Portland area to be involved with the sport in the early '60s. He also enjoyed western movies and the lifestyle of traveling from Alaska to Mexico. His smile and candor will be missed dearly. Frank is survived by three daughters, Debbie Jo Fazio, Franki Ann LaVerdure, and Kathryn Vallentyne; five grandchildren, Destiny LaVerdure-Laux, Allison Mandela, David LaVerdure-Laux, James Fazio, and Anne Josette LaVerdure-O'Brien; and two great grandchildren, Anessa and Elias.
