Paul Alfred LAVOIE

BENNINGTON - Paul Alfred Lavoie Sr., 69, of Mountain Side Road., died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at home. He was born in Peterborough, Aug. 11, 1936, the son of Alfred and Evelyn (Grendell) Lavoie. He attended school in Peterborough. He married Margaret Ann (Powers) on July 4, 1958. They lived in Bennington ever since. He owned and operated the Paul Lavoie Painting Business for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957. He was a life-member of Legion in Hillsboro; and a member of the VFW in Jaffrey, the Moose Club in Hillsboro, the 40 and 8, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Bennington Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Lavoie of Bennington; three sons, Paul A. Lavoie Jr. of Greenfield, Robert T. Lavoie of Antrim and Zachary E. Lavoie of Bennington; seven grandchildren; a sister, Janice Conley of Winchendon, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 15 Pine St., Peterborough. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
