Elizabeth M. (Law) Champagne of Haverhill, a retired kindergarten owner and teacher, died Sunday at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill. She was 97. Born in Haverhill, she graduated from Haverhill High School in 1926 and lived in Haverhill her entire life. Mrs. Champagne was the owner and a teacher of Libby's Kindergarten in Haverhill. She retired in 1972. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Bradford and the Hale Hospital Auxiliary. Wife of the late Ulric L. ``Ben,'' Mrs. Champagne is survived by her niece, Frances E. Roberts of North Andover; two nephews, William Law of West Newbury and Richard Law of Portsmouth, N.H.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Hearts Church, Haverhill. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill. Arrangements by the C.
