CLINTON -- Edward J. LeBlanc, 72, of 309 Church St., died Sunday, Dec. 11, in HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, after an illness. He was born on June 19, 1933, in Canada, the son of the late Arcade and Agnes (Ganes) LeBlanc and moved to the United States in 1962.Mr. LeBlanc worked as a self-employed welder, then later as a self-employed carpenter in the Fitchburg and Leominster area, retiring in 1976 due to illness.He enjoyed boating and fishing at Fort Pond. He was an avid cribbage player and was a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.Mr. LeBlanc leaves his wife of 35 years, Shirley (Ruel) LeBlanc; his son, Edward J. LeBlanc, Jr. of Clinton; his half daughter, Angie Gonyea of Leominster; four grandchildren: Ryan Brazell, Robert Brown II, Jordan Boucher, and Edward J. LeBlanc III; one great-granddaughter; three brothers: Alvin and Leonard LeBlanc, of Canada, and Alfred LeBlanc of Waltham; and one sister, Evelyn Nowlan. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. LEBLANC -- On Dec. 11, Edward J. LeBlanc, 72, of Clinton. The funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg. Burial will be private. Calling hours will precede the funeral Thursday, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.Published in the Sentinel & Enterprise from 12/13/2005 - 12/14/2005.
