METHUEN — Leander A. (Leon) LeBlanc, age 93, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at his home in Methuen, Mass.Born and educated in Lynn, Mass., he worked for the Amalgamated Steel Co., in Lowell, Mass., for 25 years.Leander served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.He was an attendant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa's Church in Methuen. He was a member of the V.F.W. Arnold Greenwood Post 8349, and a member of the Twilighter's Bowling League, and the Methuen Senior Center.He was the widower of Irma (Pare) LeBlanc, and he is survived by his niece, Carol Boutin of Georgetown, Mass.; and his nephews, Harold Potter of California, George Potter and Henery LeBlanc, both of Lynn, Richard St. Laurent, and Thomas St. Laurent, both of Georgetown, Mass., Donald St. Laurent of Grafton, Mass., Ronald St. Laurent of Windham, N.H., and Robert McMaster of Milton, Mass.Memorials can be made to the Methuen Senior Citizen Center, Lowell St., Methuen, MA.ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa's Church in Methuen. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, also in Methuen.
