NEW SEABURY - Mary E. LeBlanc, 79, died Thursday at the Mary McCarthy Hospice House in Sandwich after a long illness with cancer. She was the wife of Lionel S. LeBlanc for 57 years. Mrs. LeBlanc was born and raised in Norwood and was a graduate of Chamberlain College. She worked with handicapped children at the Winslow School in Norwood. Mrs. LeBlanc studied at the Boston Conservatory of Music and was a soloist at St. Timothy's Church in Norwood. She and her family summered for years at the Maushop Village in New Seabury, where she ran the children's summer craft program on the old ballfield. She loved opera, her many animals, and playing bridge and tennis. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Nancy L. Burden of New Seabury; three sons, Paul LeBlanc of Concord, Michael LeBlanc of Cotuit and Peter LeBlanc of Harvard; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Jude's Chapel at Christ the King Parish, Mashpee Commons, Mashpee.
