Mary S. LEGER

DOVER — Mary S. Leger, 82, of 17 Strafford Road, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Born in Salmon Falls, Feb. 17, 1923, she was the daughter of Michael and Catherine (Geisen) Rawski. She was employed as a cafeteria worker at Dover High School and later as an assembler at Franklin Electroplating of Dover, from where she retired in the late 1980s. She was a longtime resident of Dover. She enjoyed bowling and ceramics. After being widowed in 1963, her dedication to providing for the welfare of her children was exemplary.She was a communicant of St. Mary Church.Family members include one son, Melvin L. Leger and his wife, Linda, of Dover; one daughter, Denise E. St. Hilaire and her husband, Donald, of Strafford; one brother, Frank Rawski of Dover; one sister, Anne McCarthy of Dover; three grandchildren, Melinda M. Siranian of Wilmont, Matthew M. Leger of Boulder, Colo., and Katherine C. St. Hilaire of Strafford; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Camille L. Leger in 1963; one sister, Alice Normand; and three brothers, John, Steve and Joseph Rawski. There will be no calling hours.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Church, corner of Chestnut and Third streets, Dover, with the Rev. Fritz Cerullo, OSA pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary New Cemetery.
