Normand P. Legere of Groveland, a Korean War veteran and a meat cutter, died Friday at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill. He was 71. He was educated in Gardner, graduating from Gardner High School. Formerly of Salem, he had lived in Groveland since 2003. Mr. Legere was a meat cutter with Stop & Shop Supermarket in Beverly. He was previously employed at Donelan’s Market in Acton and Purity Supreme. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Haverhill. Mr. Legere is survived by his wife, Phyllis L. (Roy); three daughters, Cindy Phillips of Derry, N.H., Gail LaPointe of Groveland and Lisa DiIsso of Topsfield; two sons, Mark of Beverly and Jeffrey of Groveland; his sister, Irene Jaillet of Florida; his brother, Leo of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. John the Baptist Church, Haverhill. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland. Arrangements by the C.
