Joseph S. LEMOINE

Joseph S. Lemoine, age 70, of Danbury, died unexpectedly Sunday July 3, 2005 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Carol (Scarpetti) Lemoine.He was born December 30, 1934 in Lafayette, Louisiana, son of the late Pierre and Henri Ethel (Cahanin) Lemoine. He graduated and received his degree from the University of Southwest Louisiana in 1957.He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Rome, N.Y. Air Development Center working for Intelligence Reconnaissance Branch of Electronic Warfare and attained the rank of Captain. He moved from Rome, N.Y. to join CBS Laboratories in Stamford and later became Vice President at Image Information Inc. and retired from Goodrich Aerospace.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Kathleen Lemoine of Lawrenceville, Ga.; J. Paul Lemoine of Palo Alto, Calif.; David Lemoine of Marietta, Ga.; Carolyn Lemoine of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and Steven Lemoine of Tempe, Ariz.; two brothers Herbert and Lawrence, both of Louisiana; a sister Doris Castille also of Louisiana; grandchildren: Andrew, Tate, Benjamin, Kylie and Audrey; also several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Church Friday morning at 10 a.m.Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home, 57, Main St., Danbury on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe's memory may be made to Cardio Thoracic Surgery Research Fund, c/o Suzanne Gianotti, 121 FMB 333 Cedar Street, New Haven, CT 065l0.
