SPRINGFIELD — Therese A. Blais, 77, died Dec. 18, 2005, at Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington.She was born May 11, 1928, in Elmont Long Island, N.Y., the daughter of Anthony J. and Loretta (Tonner) Loehr.She graduated from Elmont High School.She was married to Maurice E. Blais on Nov. 28, 1946, in Elmont Long Island. He predeceased her in 2000.Mrs. Blais was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield.She enjoyed baking, knitting and bingo.Survivors include three sons, James Blais of Fairfax, Mark Blais of Phoenix, Ariz., and Gregory Blais of Ashville, N.C.; three daughters, Karen Hocker, Michelle Baker, both of Springfield, and Jeanne McCarthy of Valley Mills, Texas.; two brothers, Anthony Loehr and James Loehr; five sisters, Rosemary Abramski, Josephine Deveau, Mildred Martone, Sr. Ellenita Loehr and Jean Sclafani; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was predeceased by two brothers, William and John Loehr.There will be no calling hours.The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield. The Rev. Peter Williams, pastor, will officiate.Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery in Springfield.Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association, 366 River St., Springfield, VT 05156.Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
