FITCHBURG -- James F. Lorion, 52, of 91 Harvard St., was stricken ill and died in his home unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 25.He was born in Fitchburg on March 6, 1953, the daughter of the late Kenneth J. and Elizabeth J. (McInerney) Lorion and lived in this area for most of his life. Mr. Lorion was a Project Manager for the Seimens Technology Co. in Canton, retiring in 2003, after many years. He was a past member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, where he once served as an altar boy, was a 1971 graduate of Leominster High School, and attended Quinsigamond Junior College. He was involved in many local charities, including the three day walk for Breast Cancer. He ran in the Slattery Turkey Trot yearly and enjoyed sailing, the ocean, and loved his family and friends. Mr. Lorion leaves one daughter, Kathryn “Katy” L. Lorion and her fiancé, Michael Wing, both of Fitchburg; and one sister, Jane E. Destroismaisons, and her husband, Gary, of Leominster. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael K. Lorion, in 1994. LORION -- On Dec. 25, James F. Lorion, 52, of Fitchburg. A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. in Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net) 243 Water St., Fitchburg. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
