Shirley H. MACKEIL

CHELSEA, Vt. — Shirley H. Bellefeuille, 82, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.She was born in Chelsea, Vt. on Feb. 5, 1923, the daughter of Purl H. and Lavena M. (Fuller) MacKeil. She attended schools in Chelsea. She was married to John A. Bellefeuille on Aug. 17, 1940. She worked for a time for the Van Rault Garment Factory in Randolph, Vt. and the hot lunch program at the Chelsea School. In 1959, they moved to Georgetown, Mass., where they lived for 46 years before moving back to Chelsea. She enjoyed making patchwork quilts and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her husband of Chelsea; a daughter, Judith A. Worrall of Georgetown; three sons, Joseph H. Bellefeuille of West Boxford, Mass., Donald J. Bellefeuille of Haverhill, Mass. and Stephen W. Bellefeuille of Chelsea; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice M. Felch of Randolph; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Purl H. MacKeil Jr.; and two sisters, Mildred J. Colpritt and Laurice M. MacKeil.ARRANGEMENTS: At her request, there will be no public calling hours or memorial service. The burial will be at a later date in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph Center, Vt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to People's Health & Wellness Clinic, 553 North Main Street, Barre, VT 05641. Arrangements are under the direction of the Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home, Main Street, Chelsea.
