LACONIA — Francis Paul "Frenchy" Maheux Sr., 67, of 618 White Oaks Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at his home.He was born Aug. 13, 1938 in Laconia, the son of Oliva J. and Virginia (Jacques) Maheux. He was a lifetime resident of Laconia and attended local schools.He served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid CVA-11. He was self-employed as a tool and die maker for more than 40 years and was owner of Trio Tool.He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. He was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks 876 and the American Legion, Wilkins-Smith Post No. 1.Survivors include his father, Oliva J. Maheux, of Gilford; two sons, Francis Paul Maheux Jr. of Gilford, and Mark Anthony Maheux of Belmont; two daughters, Shari Ann Rohrborn, of Lakeport, and Vikki V. Maheux of Phippsburg, Maine; two grandchildren, Samantha Rohrborn and Hannah Rohrborn; a brother, Michael Maheux of Gilford, a sister, Patricia Ames, of Center Harbor; and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his wife, Norma D. (Wylie) Maheux and by his mother, Virginia (Jacques) Maheux.A graveside service will be held in the spring at the family lot in Greenvale Cemetery, Greenfield.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice Inc., 780 North Main St., Laconia, or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
