TROY, NY -- Mary A. Maloney Daigneault, 101, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Eddy Heritage House Nursing Home. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William H. Maloney and Agnes Blair Maloney and wife of the late Lawrence V. Daigneault who died in 1965. A Troy resident for many years, she later resided in Waterford and Green Island. She was a homemaker most of her life and a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Troy. Survivors include two daughters, Mildred M. Stopera of Schenectady and Emily A. Poppel (Harvey) of San Francisco, Calif. and Fla.; a son, Robert F. Daigneault of Green Island; 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Daigneault was predeceased by her two sons, William H. Daigneault and Edward Daigneault; five brothers, William, John, Vincent, James and Edward Maloney; and two sisters, Anna Mae Maloney and Emily Eagan. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 109th St. and Third Ave., Lansingburgh, and at 9:30 in St. Patrick's Church, Troy, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
