Andrew E. MARCOUILLER

LOWELL -- Andrew E. "Andy" Marcouiller, a longtime Lowell resident, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 24, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. He was 80.He was born in Lowell, Sept.. 21, 1925, son of the late Arthur and Lydia (Charette) Marcouillier. He received his education in the Lowell school system.An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Marcouiller served as a private first class in the Army from 1948 to 1952 and received a Good Conduct Medal during his service in the Korean War.Before retiring in 1987, Mr. Marcouiller was employed as a roofer. Prior to entering the service, he was a gardener at Lowell General Hospital.He was an active participant of the Senior Citizen Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed gardening and walking.He is survived by two brothers, Joseph "Albert" Marcouillier of Dracut, and Roland Marcouillier of Bolivar, Md.; a sister, Irene LeClerc of Canton Center, Conn.; a brother in-law, Rudolph "Rudy" Paquette of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.He was also the brother of the late Maurice Marcouillier, Wilfred Marcouillier, Rita Hamel, Cecile Cormier, and Theresa (Cormier) Paquette.
