EASTHAMPTON - Roger F. Marquis, 75, of Main St., Easthampton, died Wednesday. He was born in Holyoke. He entered the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict serving in 504 AAA Opnes DET in Germany. He has been a resident of Easthampton since 1957. He was a member of the Easthampton VFW, their Chaplain, and past Quarter Master. He was a member of the American Legion Dalton Lavalee Post 224. Surviving are his wife, Pauline (McCarthy) Marquis; five sons: Peter Marquis of South Hadley, Richard Boyer of Turners Falls, Steven Boyer of Easthampton, Garry Boyer of Pownel, VT, and Tracy Perry of Easthampton; four daughters: Cheryl Engel of Southwick, Christine LaValley of South Hadley, Mary Sankolewicz of Easthampton, and Kathleen Champagne of Fort Kent, Maine; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 pm in the Mitchell Funeral Home, Easthampton, with burial at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 pm until the time of the service. Gifts in his memory may be given to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
