MEDWAY - Margaret M. Savoie, 83, of Medway, formerly of Sanford, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, lovingly cared for by her daughter, Cyndy, and son-in-law, Roger. Margaret was born in Sanford on March 28, 1922, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Cote Martel. She attended Sanford schools, worked at Jagger Mill, and retired from Sprague Electric in Sanford. Margaret loved spending time with her family, especially going out to dinner or getting an ice cream cone. She also looked forward to completing the New York Times crossword puzzle each day. Margaret enjoyed puzzles of any kind, quilting, sewing, and other handcrafts. Margaret's husband Joseph Roland Savoie and sister Dorothy Boisvert predeceased Margaret. Surviving Margaret are her daughters, Cyndy Burgess and her husband Roger of Medway, and Charlene St.Amand and her husband Roger of Ocala, Fla.; brothers, George Martel of South Portland, Adrien Martel of Sanford, and Joseph Paul Martel of Salem, Mass.; sister, Irene Johnson of Worcester, Mass.; grandsons, Alan Burgess and his wife Ann, Nick Burgess and his wife Laurel, Timothy St.Amand and his wife Paula, and Thomas St.Amand; and great-grandchildren, Emily Burgess, Alexander Burgess, Broudy Atkiss, and Aiden Burgess. Out of respect for Margaret's wishes, services will be private. There will be a public spring interment in St.Ignatius cemetery in 2006.
