June Matis Rochon of Rockland County, NY, devoted mother of seven, died Sunday, November 13, 2005 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY. She was 76. Mrs. Rochon was widowed and worked as a homemaker and raised seven children single handedly. She was a devout Catholic and held a special devotion for Mother Mary. June was born on August 5, 1929 in Queens, NY to Charles Matis and Ottilia Skrivanek. Mrs. Rochon will be remembered for her dedication to her children and her perseverance. She is survived by her seven children; Loretta, Charles, Jim, Susan, Gloria, Gail and Eva; her brother George Matis and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. A Funeral Service will be held 10 am, Wednesday, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Ehrhardt Rd., Pearl River, NY. Burial will follow at Rose Hills Cemetery, Putnam Valley, NY.
