Quellette, Mrs. Mae T. -- Saginaw, Michigan -- Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away early Monday, July 18, 2005 in Flushing. Age 96 years. Mae Theresa McCormick was born May 4, 1909 in St. Charles, the daughter of the late Daniel and Minerva "Minnie" (Shovan) McCormick. She married Lloyd H. Quellette on June 20, 1929; he predeceased her October 9, 1979. She had been employed by Lufkin Rule, Columbia Mills and McCarty's Market in Saginaw. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She and her sister Kate enjoyed dancing the Highland Fling at area Scottish events or wherever the bagpipes were played. She enjoyed dancing, card playing, fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had been a member of the Washington Society for many years and a life-member of the League of Catholic Women. Surviving are two daughters and one son, Leona Keenan, Merrill; Joyce (Wilmar) Haubenstricker, Flushing; Duane (Phyllis) Quellette, Lambertville, MI; nine grandchildren, Thomas Keenan, Kevin (Jennifer) Keenan, Kathleen (Scott) Listvan, Tami (Ray) Armbruster, Timothy (Bonnie) Haubenstricker, Terry (Mishell) Haubenstricker, Todd (Mildred) Haubenstricker, Lloyd Quellette and Nancy Lacis; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nora Paul and Delores (Robert) McLellan; many nieces, nephews and their families; also a special friend, Arlene Schofield. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son Lloyd (Joe) Quellette, a son-in-law, Thomas Keenan, two grandchildren, Jon Haubenstricker and Donna Jean Breiler, one brother Joseph McCormick and three sisters, Mary Smith, Kate McCormick and Catherine Smith. Mae's family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Heartland Health Care Fostrian in Flushing for their kindness and care. Funeral Mass will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Rd. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday where they may meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to pray the Rosary and at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday for a parish vigil service. Friends and family may then call at the church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of funeral Mass.
