Edna Leola Ladabouche, age 102, passed away on December 17, 2005, at Our House at Park Terrace in Rutland.Edna was born in Salina, Kansas, on January 3, 1903, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. McCoy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Benjamin Norman Ladabouche. She was also predeceased by several brothers and a sister.Edna worked at Schrafft's Restaurants for over 40 years. Upon retiring from Schrafft's in 1969, she and her husband moved up to the home they built in Rutland. They spent many joyous years together fishing on Chittenden Dam and on lakes up in Maine.Edna was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking and entertaining their many friends from near and far.Edna is survived by her nieces, Betty Ladabouche of Rutland, Lois Elder of Galena, Kansas, and Colleen Scott of Norman, Oklahoma. She will also be missed by her godchild, Cheryl Schon Aubert of Switzerland and her entire family.Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, December 22, 2005, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Tossing Funeral Home in Rutland. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on that same day. The Reverend Bruce Bishop will officiate. Interment will take place in the spring.
