LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Lynn Michael Melancon, 57, who died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at his residence.The Rev. Aaron Melancon and the Rev. Thomas James, SVD, will be the con-celebrants of the Mass.Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.He is survived by his wife, Paulette Zenon Melancon, of Lafayette; two daughters, Shelly Melancon (Justin) Fuselier and Charmaine Melancon (Jamal) Jones, both of Lafayette, La.; mother, Thelma Melancon, of Lafayette, La.; one grandson, Justin James Fuselier; two sisters, Verlie (Walter) Trotter and Linda (Anthony) Reynolds, both of Lafayette; four brothers, Errol (Marjorie) Melancon, of Houston, Texas, Donald (Alberta) Melancon, Freddie James Melancon and his companion, Linda, and Simon (Janice) Melancon, all of Lafayette; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wilbert Melancon; and his brother, John Wilbert Melancon.The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana and Dr. Joseph Brierre and the staff at Louisiana Oncology.Visitation will be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. today at Syrie Funeral Home and will continue from 7 a.m. Friday at Syrie Funeral Home until time of services.A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today.Syrie Funeral Home, 1417 E.
