Melvin A. Mercil -- Of South Milwaukee, passed away Fri., Nov. 11, 2005 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Marie A. Mercil (nee Lessard). Dearest father of Sandra (Randall) Stuner (formerly Stolarski), Cynthia (James) Kowalski, Daniel "Bucky" (Cheryl) Mercil and Wendy (Joseph) Parise. Proud grandfather of Christopher, David, Jennifer (Eric), Michael, Julaine, Jessica, Jamie, Matthew, Duane, Joseph, Angela, Alyssa and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his dear sisters, Marilyn (Earl) Strom, Marie (John) Rossignol and Janet (Gene) Rossignol. Preceded in death by his sister, Verna Mercil. Melvin will be sadly missed by many other loving family members and dear friends. He retired from the Ladish Co. in 1995 after 40 years of service, and was a long time member of Divine Mercy (St. Adalbert's) Parish.Mass of Christian Burial Wed., November 16 at Divine Mercy 16th Ave., 1611 Manitoba Ave., South Milwaukee, at 10:30AM. Rev. Bob Betz Celebrant. Entombment Forest Hill Memorial Park. In state at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 4-8PM with a Parish Vigil at 5:30PM and on Wednesday at the Church from 9:30AM until time of Mass.
