Gertrude M. METTHE

NEW BEDFORD -- Gertrude M. (Metthe) Carrier, 90, of New Bedford died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, in Taber Street Nursing Home. She was the widow of Roland J. Carrier. A lifelong resident of New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Oliva J. and Mabel M. (Bourque) Metthe. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Mrs. Carrier was a homemaker. She is survived by several cousins. Her funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday from Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County St., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in the Sacred Heart of the Holy Name of Jesus Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, No. 1.
