MICHAUD - Mr. Medley J. "Frenchy" Michaud, age 84, of East Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord Sunday, December 11, 2005. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters and by son-in-law, Jay Alan Hurst. He is survived by his loving wife, Vella; former wife, Priscilla Michaud; children, Carol Hurst, Sharon (David) DeLany, Sandra Michaud, Andrew (Cheri) Michaud, Mark (Yvette) Michaud; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Myra Doucette; and many nieces and nephews. He was a World War II veteran and was honorably discharged from the 180th Infantry. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge #763 and was a member of both American Legion #208 and the Michigan Ave. American Legion. He was loved by all and will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel with Father Donn Tufts officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home to greet friends and relatives Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.Published in the Grand Rapids Press from 12/12/2005 - 12/13/2005.
