LOWELL -- Irene A. (Mireault) Dumont, 86, lifelong Lowell resident who was a retired quality control specialist, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica, following a long illness. She was the wife of Leo H. Dumont, who died in 1969.She was born in Lowell, Aug. 21, 1919, daughter of the late Arthur and Lavina (Frenette) Mireault.Before retiring, Mrs. Dumont was employed as a quality control specialist at RCA in Burlington for more than 20 years.She was a lifelong parishioner of Ste. Marie Church in South Lowell.She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline J. and James Cameron of Salem, N.H., and Janine P. and Brian Murphy of Lowell; five grandchildren, Kerry J. Cameron, Erin L. (Murphy) Edwards, both of Lowell, Jennifer S. (Cameron) Hughes and her husband, Kenneth of Chelmsford, Jill M. Murphy and James R. Cameron III, both of Lowell; two great-grandsons, Kyle B. Edwards and Bret T. Edwards, both of Lowell; and numerous nieces and nephews in the area. Published in the Lowell Sun on 12/17/2005.
