LANCASTER - Aime E. Montminy, 89, died on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005.He spent his life caring for his mother until her death in 1983.Aime’s love for the earth was evident in his artistic flair for gardening. He delighted many with his annual crop of succulent raspberries, indeed a delight to behold, but an even greater treat to the palate for those fortunate enough to cross his path. His care and concern for the soil and its nutrients yielded other tasty treats and the burst of various and sundry flowers spoke of God’s beauty and wonder to everyone. If simplicity is one of God’s great gifts to the searching soul, as Francis of Assisi would teach, then Aime’s simplicity was God’s way of teaching us the value of unconditional love. For 89 years, God spoke to his family through Aime. May that message of love be a lesson that will endure forever. The family includes three brothers, Ernest Montminy of Winthrop, Me., Lucien Montminy of Berlin and Pete Montminy of Enfield, Conn.; six sisters, Beatrice Bertin, Lillian Cyr, Pauline Houle and Jeanneatte Goudreau, all of Berlin, Irene Franklin of East Hartford, Conn., and Cecile Roy of Enfield, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held in late spring.Memorial donations may be made to St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH 03570.Arrangements are being handled by the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home in Berlin.
