Lucienne MORIN

Lucienne Morin Toussaint of Danbury, passed away peacefully at her home on June 2, 2005, with her family by her side.She was born January 13, 1912 in La Durantaye, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Adjutor and Albertine Morin.She was educated in Canada and taught for 12 years in a one-room schoolhouse.She married Henry Toussaint in 1949, and lived in New Milford and helped him run his business, Toussaint Texaco Service Station.In 1970 they moved to Danbury. Lucienne was an excellent seamstress. She worked for many years doing alterations for area businesses such as Reads Dept. Store and Julie Allen Bridal.She is survived by her son, Normand Toussaint, of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., and his wife Regina, and their children: Christopher, Gabrielle and William Toussaint, and step grandchildren Hilary and Korin Hardy; a daughter, Lorraine Batterson, with whom she made her home, and her husband Bob Batterson and their children: Robert and Brian Batterson, sisters: Marie Toussaint of Danbury; Rachel Morin, Rita Buteau and Veronique Cadrin, all of Quebec, Canada.She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Toussaint, brothers: Leopold, Phillipe, Robert, Louis, Antonin and sister Clemence.Donations may be made to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 30 West St., Danbury, CT 06810.Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 a.m. at St. Peter Church Interment to follow at St. Peter Cemetery.Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury is handling funeral arrangements.
