Noel Aldon Morisset Born December 8, 1910 at Little Beaver, Missouri, to Thomas and Bessie (Huffman) Morisset, Noel died suddenly in Tacoma, September 18, 2005 at the age of 94. He graduated high school in Branson, MO, in 1927, moved to Spokane soon afterwards and married Doris Forkey in Spokane 1940. He and his family also made their home in Seattle, Bellingham, Federal Way, and Tacoma. Noel worked as a CPA since 1953 in various businesses. Noel and Doris served as Peace Corps volunteers in Malaysia in 1975. He is predeceased by his wife, Doris, and survived by his sister, Carlyn Morisset, Spokane; children, Wayne (Karen) Morisset, Mukilteo; Mary Ann Firmin (Jerry Parker), Olympia; Sister Patricia Morisset, OP, of Tacoma; Nancy (Dennis) Robinson, Boise, ID; Eileen (Ray) Hoobing, Boise; Thomas Morisset, Oakland, CA; and Margy (Sarge) Kane, Boise; grandchildren, Timothy, Melinda, Deanna, Alyssa, Andrew John, Christen, Andrew Carl, Erin, Scott, Matthew, Susan, Carissa, Nicholas, and Taryn; great-grandchildren, Megan, Amanda, Brian and Heidi, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Noel was a member of St. Leo Parish, a volunteer at The Food Connection in Tacoma and a past IRS tax volunteer. He resided at Harborview Manor for the last 5 years and had numerous friends. Noel was a faith-filled, gentle and humorous man with a quick mind, excellent memory and expansive knowledge. Noel researched family history widely and provided his family with numerous verbal and written stories, genealogy photos, and invaluable memories of our heritage. Funeral liturgy will be at St. Leo Church, 710 S. 13th St., Tacoma, at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2005, followed by a luncheon at Tacoma Dominican Center, 935 Fawcett Ave. So., and burial at Calvary Cemetery at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Food Connection or the Sisters of St. Dominic, Tacoma.
