Richard L. NOEL

NOEL, Richard L. (Age 71) - passed away on Sunday September 4, 2005 in Spokane. Richard was born January 1, 1934 in Yakima, WA to Leo and Clara Noel. He lived in Yakima until 1940 when Richard and his family moved to Spokane. He received his diploma from North Central High School in 1952. He joined the United States Army in 1955 and served as a cook in England until 1959 when he returned state side and served two more years in the reserves until his Honorable Discharge in August 31, 1961. Richard graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1967 and Whitworth College in 1981 with his master's degree in Administration. He loved education and taught School in the State of Washington from 1967 until 1987 and in Bonners Ferry, ID from 1988 until he retired as Principal from Bonners Ferry Elementary School in 1993. He was a member of WA Board of Teachers and Principals. Loved reading and studying about WWII. In May of 1999 he was recognized for his administration of the GED teaching and testing in the prisons. Richard is survived by his brother Bill Noel and wife Agnus, Clarkston, WA; nephews Ken Belisle, Spokane and David Belisle, Seattle, WA; nieces Chris Johnson and Sharron Belisle, both of Richland, WA, and Karie Allan, Chewelah, WA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 2:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Rose Circle.www.heritagefunerals.com
