DES JARDINS -- Joyce Ruth Des Jardins, 78, a resident of Rio Rancho the past 16 years, died Nov. 5, 2005. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Nov. 9, 1926, to Thomas Joseph O'Kane and Ruth Magilacutty O'Kane. Joyce was an OR nurse before retiring. She was a member of Ten Pins Bowling League. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Cathy Seymour, and husband, David of Santa Fe, N.M.; son, Thomas Des Jardins, of New York City; and grandchildren, Michael and Justin Seymore of Santa Fe and Matthew Des Jardins of New York City. Rosary will be held Monday, November 7, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. in Sunrise Funeral Options West Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho. Mass will be held Tuesday, November 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. in Rio Rancho. Interment will be at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe.
