Alice R. OAKHAM

UPTON— Alice R. (Oakham) Bouthiette, 79, of Upton, died early Christmas morning in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough after an illness. She was the wife of Francis L. Bouthiette, to whom she was married for 33 years. Mrs. Bouthiette was born in Newport, RI, a daughter of the late Herbert and Rose (Blake) Oakham and was the last surviving of eleven brothers and sisters. She was educated in Catholic schools in Newport and had lived in Woonsocket, RI for many years before coming to Upton in 1972. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish in Upton. In addition to her husband, she leaves one son, Norman Doura, and a daughter, Norma Gummo, both of Woonsocket, RI; two stepdaughters, Nancy McDonnell of Upton and Bonnie Bouthiette of Manville, RI; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Another daughter, Rose Desrosiers of Woonsocket died in 1982. Funeral services will be held Wed., Dec. 28, from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home (www.uptonfunerals.com), 45 Main Street, Upton with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, 1 Milford Street, Upton. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tues. from 5 to 8 p.m.
