Anita Lavonia Dugas, 50, of Beauxart Gardens, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 23, 2005 at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves with Rev. Frank Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the funeral home. Anita was born on January 9, 1955 in Beaumont, Texas to her parents, John Odom and Dorothy Simmons Odom. She graduated from South Park High School in 1973. She was a wife, mother and grandmother who spent much of her time with her children and grandchildren who she loved dearly. Survivors include her husband of eighteen years, Leon Dugas of Beauxart Gardens; sons, Kevin Dugas and his wife Christy of Beauxart Gardens, Johnny Dugas and his wife Jana of Vidor and Blain Dugas and his wife Jamie of Bridge City; daughter, Tiffany Liepke and her husband Neil of Bridge City; brothers, Paul, James and his wife Sandy, Kenneth all of Vidor; sisters, Lanece of Waco, Joan of Beaumont, Tera of Beaumont and Melba of Vidor; ten grandchildren, Shanna, Chance, Jonah, Brooklyn, Matthew, Kourtney, Blake, Brittney, Maghen and Hailey.
