Albert Lindy OUELLETTE

Albert Lindy Ouellette died Sunday morning in a local nursing home. He was born on June 11, 1927, in Butte, to Frederick and Lena (Stoffer) Ouellette. Lindy attended local schools and served his country in the Army in the occupation of Japan following World War II, from Sept. 18, 1945, to Feb. 5, 1947. He returned to Butte and worked as a machinist for the Anaconda Co. for 57 years. On Nov. 20, 1948, he married Helen Robinson in Butte and together they had three sons.Lindy belonged to the Arco Retirees, enjoyed camping and any and all activities with his family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Helen; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Debbie Ouellette, Butte, Joe and Debbie Ouellette, Butte, Jack and Lisa Ouellette, Lovelock, Nev.; grandchildren, Kris and (Dan), Jamie, Steve, Mollie, Austin, Morgan, Brandi and Tiana (Taylor), Heather, Justin and Amanda, Shawn, Bradley and Christina; great-grandchildren, Paris, Gabrielle, Aaliyah, Brady, Kayla, Daniel, Shelby and Johnathan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Marvin Crane, Ruth and Ray Boylan, Betty and Don Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews including, Melvin and Joan Stromseth, Fred and Carol Stromseth, Bert and Thelma Stromseth, Leona Knight, Jeannie and Dave Wright, Patsy and Mike Carlin and families, Keith Roberts, Tony Roberts, Kelly Kuntz, Paulette and John Coles, George and Tom Stanich, Bill Stanich and family; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence, Harry, Eugene, Orville, Freddie; and sister, Hazel Stromseth.Cremation has taken place in Butte. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Haffey officiating. Entombment of ashes will be in Mountain View Cemetery.Memorials: American Lung Association.
