ARSENAULT, J. HECTOR On Tuesday, November 30, 2004 J. Hector Arsenault of Fredericton, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Veterans Health Unit at the age of 87. Born in Tracadie, NB, he was a son of the late Eucariste and Azilda (Robichaud) Arsenault and husband of the late Sarah Mary (Comeau) Arsenault, who passed away in July 2000. During World War II, Hector served overseas as a Corporal in the Canadian Armed Forces. Upon his return from serving his country, he was employed as a driver and salesman for Wilson's Cleaners and Bellboy Cleaners. Hector was an outgoing person, who enjoyed playing the organ. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for more than 50 years. He was survived by three daughters: Shirley Mary Schriver (John) of Rexton, Barbara Ann Arsenault of Fredericton, Rose Arsenault (Alan) of Fredericton; two grandchildren Darren Schriver (Naomi) and Joshua Galantai; two great grandchildren Isaiah Schriver and Michaela Schriver; two sisters Theresa Arsenault of Dieppe, NB, and Jeanne Pontbriand of Tracy, Quebec; several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by brothers Leo, Alfred, Jim, Joseph and Emile; sisters Margaret Rousselle, Annie Arsenault and Ida Chiasson. The family will receive friends at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Thursday evening from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home on Friday December 10, 2004 at 11:00 am with Msgr. Brian Sheehan officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. A reception will be held following the service. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Royal Canadian Legion branch #4. The Royal Canadian Legion branch #4 will hold a tribute service at 6:45 pm on Thursday evening. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
