OUIMETTE, JOSEPH L., 87, of Batcheller Avenue, died Friday, December 23, 2005 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lucille M. (Doucette) Ouimette. His first wife was the late Dorothy M. (Coffey) Ouimette.Born in Cranston, a son of the late Ernest and Anne (Prior) Ouimette, he was a Cranston resident for most of his life.Mr. Ouimette was a textile printer for Cranston Print Works for 45 years before retiring in 1979. He was a WWII Navy veteran, a member of the Printer and Engravers Union and a communicant of St. Ann Church.He was the father of Joanne Howe of Warwick, brother of Dorothy Buckley of Warwick and the late William E. Ouimette, stepfather of Jane A. Ledoux of Providence. He is also survived by three grandsons; one great grandson; two step grandsons and one step great granddaughter.His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Ann Church at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
