Florence B. PARADIS

BRUNSWICK - Florence B. Paquet, 81, of Hennessey Avenue, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at Amenity Manor Nursing Center in Topsham with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born in Topsham, on July 20, 1924, the daughter of Florian and Abbie C. Roy Paradis. She attended local schools. On Aug. 30, 1947 she married Camille H. Paquet at St. John's Church in Brunswick. Florence worked for a brief time at the Verney Mill until the arrival of her children. After her children were grown she returned to work at the Miss Brunswick Diner, a chamber maid at the Siesta Motel, and finally as a baker at Tondreau's Bakery retiring in the mid-80s following more than 10 years of work there. In her spare time she loved working with her hands doing crafts and needle work. She was an avid Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan, and a faithful fan of Bowdoin College Hockey. Her happiest memories were spent surrounded by family and friends at the family camp on Tacoma Lake. She is predeceased by two brothers Robert and Gerard Paradis. She is survived by her husband of 58 years; four daughters, Linda A. and her husband Fred Schoenfeldt of Topsham, Pauline M. and her husband Clifford Farr of Topsham, Jeanine L. and her husband James H. Howells of Utah, and Ann M. Paquet of Brunswick; a son, Ernest M. Paquet of Brunswick; a sister, Yvette C. Levesque of Brunswick; seven, Grandchildren Kenneth and Michael Tambellini, Julie Minzner, Keith Farr, Ian and Colin Howells, and Derek Paquet; several nieces and nephews. Florence had just learned of the arrival of her first great-grandchild in August. At the families request there will be no visiting hours. A memorial Mass will be said on Friday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Pleasant St. Brunswick. Burial will be private at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
