Joanne I. PARADIS

Joanne I. Berger, 67, died Aug. 16, 2005, at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, N.H., after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Jan. 8, 1938, in Manchester, she was the daughter of Ernest Paradis and Helen (Concannon) (Paradis) Rae. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Mrs. Berger graduated from St. George High School and San Diego Dental College. She spent her life as homemaker. She was a longtime member of St. Theresa Church and later a communicant at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Mrs. Berger will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose family was the center of her life. She enjoyed photography and listening to music. In addition to her mother, of Raymond, family members include her husband of 42 years, Robert R. Berger of Manchester; her son, Jonathan R. Berger of Concord; her daughter, Jennifer E. Berger of Derry; three grandchildren; her brother, Roger A. Paradis of Raymond; a stepsister, Susan Griffiths of Bedford; a stepbrother, Thomas Rae of Florida; nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 22 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Litchfield, with urn burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054. The Connor-Healy Funeral Home, Manchester, was in charge of arrangements.
