CHICOPEE – Doris R. (Paré) Paul, 82, of the Fairview section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2005. She was born in Holyoke on January 20, 1923 a beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Rosalia (Chabot) Paré and moved to Fairview in 1946. She was employed for 40 years at the former National Blank Book Company in Holyoke. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Fairview and a member of the Saint Anne Sodality Guild. She was a member of the Club 15 and the bowling league at the National Blank Book and a member of the Fairview American Legion Post 438 Ladies Auxiliary. Her beloved husband, Leonard W. Paul was Called Home on June 24, 2003. They were married at Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke and enjoyed 56 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving children, William E. Paul and his wife Josette of Fairview and Barbara A. Sabol and her husband Joseph of Sunderland. Her four cherished grandchildren, 1st Lt. Scott Paul, US Army stationed in Germany, Kevin Paul of Fairview, Rachael and Neal Sabol of Sunderland. Her dear brother, Jerome Paré and his wife Lucille of Chicopee. Her six dear sisters, Clarisse Bombardier, Marguerite Poitras and her husband Clement and Theresa Boudreau and her husband Ronald, all of Chicopee, Liliane Bilodeau and her husband Luc, Pauline Doyon and Gabrielle Montmeny, all of Saint Marie Beauce, Province of Quebec, Canada. Her dear brother-in-law, Serge Goulet of Quebec, Canada and her many dear nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her dear sisters, Cecile Goulet and Theresa Paré and her dear brother, Louis Paré. Her funeral will be held Friday morning, December 23, 2005 at 8:45 a.m. from the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels (Phaneuf-Blais) 506 Britton Street in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street in Fairview. Her burial will follow the Mass at Notre Dame Cemetery on Lyman Street in South Hadley. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home in the Fairview Chapel on Thursday (today), December 22, 2005 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home.
