Payeur, Benoit A. Ben -- Ann Arbor, MI -- Age 79, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital located in Ypsilanti, MI. He was born April 21, 1926 in Quebec, ON, Canada the son of Alphonse and Albertine (Bedard) Payeur. He had been an Ann Arbor resident all of his life. On August 18, 1951 in Ann Arbor he married Joan Bauer and she survives. Ben had been a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church of Sa line and had been employed by the Sheet Metal Local H.V.A.C. He also worked for the Ford Motor Company in the skilled trades as a Millwright. He had been a volunteer fire fighter for the Pittsfield Twp. Fire Depart ment. Ben was a member of the United States Army and served during WWII. He was a member of the Saline American Legion Post #322, a member of the Ann Arbor VFW, the Ann Arbor Moose Lodge #1253, and the Saline and Manchester Knights of Columbus. Other survi vors include nine grandchil dren, three great-grandchil dren, two brothers; Joseph and Lawrence Payeur, two sisters; Irene Swanson and Lauretta Walters, and a sister-in-law; Karen Payeur. He was pre ceded in death by his parents and one brother Donald Payeur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 19, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Andrew Catholic Church of Saline with Rev. Fr. William J. Stevenson as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the ROBISON-BAHNMILLER FUENRAL HOME where friends may begin calling on Sunday, December 18, 2005 from 2 - 4 P.M. and 6 9 P.M. with a scripture to be recited at the funeral home at 6:30 P.M.
