Lucien G. PETIT

PETIT, LUCIEN G., 85, Hollowridge Drive, Orange City, died October 18, 2005 in Orlando. Born in Fall River, MA he moved to this area in 1980 from MA. He retired as plant manager of the Bureau of Aeronautics & Detachment 25 of U.S. Air Corps. An Air Force veteran of WWII he served as a flight officer, bombadier, navigator and runner with the Army Air Corps in England. He was a member of OSS Air Army 492nd Bomb Group (known as Carpetbaggers). He was a life member of V.F.W. in DeBary. He enjoyed golf and sailing. Survived by his wife of 23 years, Marion (Penny) Petit, Orange City; daughter, Janice of Moodus, CT; son, John (Dianne) Petit of Orlando; brothers, Charles Petit of Swansea, MA and Alfred Petit of Vero Beach, and sister, Gertrude Eddelman of Hillsboro, OR; one grandson; many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, October 22, 2005 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in DeBary. Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home, Orange. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on 10/21/2005.
