Sawatzki, Marguerite L., -- Spaulding Township, Michigan. Passed away Friday, May 6, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center-Harrison after a lengthy illness. Age 80 years. Marguerite Pigeault was born August 21, 1924 in Calumet Island, Quebec Canada. She was married to Robert Sawatzke on January 10, 1948, he survives her. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and had a passion for cooking and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband are her children, William Sawatzki (Julie); Karen Sprowl (Rick); grandchildren, Jason Sawatzki (Billie); Shane Sprowl (Jenny); Jeremy Sprowl (Suzanne); Aaron Sawatzki (Mandi); Neil Sawatzki; great grandchildren, Kristen, Kelsey, Kayleen Sawatzki, Laine, Anne Katherine Sprowl, Dominique Hutchinson, Drew Sawatzki; siblings, Rene Pigeault (Irene), New Jersey; Clorinda Deforest (Richard), Venice, Fla.; Veronica Harrison (Ken), England. Surviving is her sister-in-law, Helen Pigeault, Saginaw. She was predeceased by her brother Valmore Pigeault and her sister Marie Goodman. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Michael Fitzgerald will officiate with burial to follow at Spaulding Township Cemetery. The family of Marguerite will receive visitors at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 4-8 p.m., on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Covenant Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw County Fair Building fund or St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
