Richard J. Pomerleau, age 82 of Country Manor and formerly a long time resident of Augusta on Eastern Ave., died Friday, May 20, 2005 after a long illness. He was born in Augusta on October 27, 1922 a son of the late Joseph and Alphonsine (Cloutier) Pomerleau. Mr. Pomerleau was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He had been employed by Bates Mfg., Edwards Division for over 30 years. Mr. Pomerleau was pre-deceased by his brother, Romeo Pomerleau. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Lorraine Pomerleau of Augusta and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours are 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday, May 23rd at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant Street, Augusta, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Ave., Augusta. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Augustine Cemetery, Townsend Rd., Augusta.
