WATERVILLE -- Marcel G. Poulin, 94, of 147 West River Road and formerly of Augusta and Sidney, died Nov. 7, 2005, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Glenridge Drive, after a long illness. He was born in Beauceville, Quebec, on April 24, 1911, the son of Honore Poulin and Manda (Veilleux) Poulin.Mr. Poulin was educated in Waterville schools. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Key Bank for 10 years. He previously was employed by Calderwood Bakery for 25 years.Mr. Poulin was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Augusta, and a former member of the Calumet Club, also of Augusta.His wife, Lucienne (Couture) Poulin, died on April 11, 1999. He was also predeceased by his parents; a sister, Janette Pelletier; and four brothers, Emile Poulin, Maurice Poulin, Henry Poulin and Desire Poulin.Surviving are a daughter, Diane Gilman of Yorktown, Va.; a son, Gerald Poulin and his wife, Linda, formerly of Readfield and currently of Northport, Fla.; a sister, Marie Paul Russell of Waterville; four grandchildren, Brian Poulin, Melanie Gillen, Craig Gilman and Jennifer Conetta; and several nieces and nephews.Friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Augusta. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Augusta.
