Arlene Viola POULIOT

Arlene V. Petrella -- November 18, 1934 - December 25, 2005 -- DANIELSON- Arlene Viola Petrella ( Pouliot), 71, of 81 Squaw Rock Rd, Danielson died Sunday, December 25, at the home of her daughter, Sharon Verraneault, after a battle with cancer. She was born on November 18, 1934, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Pouliot, in Woonsocket, R.I. Arlene grew up in N. Smithfield, R.I where she attended school and graduated from St. Clare High School. She then attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Providence, R.I. where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Arlene worked as a nurse all of her life and retired from the State of Connecticut John Demsey Center in 1992. Arlene then devoted her retired life to raising her beloved dogs, Leroy and Lizzie.Arlene leaves behind three daughters, Sharon Verraneault and her husband Keith of Danielson, CT, Cheryl Faulk and her husband Curt of Anchorage, Alaska, Sheila Casady and her husband Randy of Anchorage, Alaska and two sons Mario Petrella and his companion Deborah Evans of Danielson, CT and Michael Petrella and his wife Mary of Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. She also leaves behind a sister, Jean Gelinas of Florida and a brother Raymond Pouliot of R.I. Arlene had 10 grandsons, five granddaughters, two greatgrandsons and two great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Sylvia (Dotty) Azevedo, Rita Dusablon and Doris Bibeault and by one brother Edgar Pouliot. There are no calling hours. Arlene will be buried at St. John's Cemetery in N. Smithfield, R.I. and a memorial service will be announced at a later date Donations may be made in Arlene's memory to Hospice of Northeast CT P.O.
