BIDDEFORD - Yvette S. Pronovost, 68, of Biddeford died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005 at the home of her son, Eric and daughter-in-law Debra Pronovost in Cumberland after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 8, 1937 in Shawinigan, Quebec, a daughter of Herve and Gracia Dubord Prescott. She was educated in Canada and later graduated from Biddeford Adult Education. She also successfully complete a nursing program to be a certified nurse's attendant. On Dec. 26, 1955, she married Andre R. Pronovost in Baie Shawinigan Church in Shawinigan, Quebec. She along with her husband and son came to the local area in 1966. Yvette's greatest love was Eric and his family. She adored her grandson Nicholas and her granddaughter Taylor and enjoyed spending time with them. Yvette was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She worked many years at Rich's Department Store where she met her closest friends Joanne and Tony. She also loved her six-year position as a C.N.A. at Southridge Living Center in Biddeford, caring for the sick and elderly. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Surviving are her husband of over 49 years of Biddeford; a son, Eric R. Pronovost and his wife Debra of Cumberland Foreside; three brothers, Wilson Prescott and his wife Gisele of Biddeford, Maurice Prescott of Shawinigan, Quebec, Gilles Prescott and his wife Sylvie of Shawinigan; four sisters, Helene Prescott of Shawinigan, Fleurette Prescott of Shawinigan, Lorraine Prescott of Shawinigan, and Nicole Sauvegeau and her husband Rejean of Shawinigan; a grandson: , Nicholas Pronovost; a granddaughter, Taylor Pronovost, both of Cumberland Foreside; several nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation hours will be 7-9 p.m., on Monday, at Hope Memorial Chapel. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Tuesday at St. Anne's Chapel of St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford.
