PREVO, Robert Joseph - Of Flint Township, age 81, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 10AM Saturday, December 24, 2005 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Steven J. Buck officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Fenton. Visitation 12-3PM and 5-9PM Friday at the funeral home. Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on December 21, 1924, the son of the late Ernest and Julia Prevo and was a resident of the Flint area all of his life. Bob graduated from the former Flint Tech, Class of 1942. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Bob was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church. Bob retired as an Electrical Engineer with Consumers Power Company after 40 years of service. Surviving are daughters, Barbara J. Prevo-Billings of Bay City, Beverly J. Brewer of Pigeon Forge, TN; grandchildren; his namesake, Bobbi Jo and husband Joe Lucas, Amy E. Fish and fiancé Joshua Cardinal, Robert J. Wells and Brielle C. Prevo; 3 great-grandchildren, Logan J. and Mitchell B. Lucas, McKenzie Shivley; sister, Helen Shustock; brother, Lawrence and wife Pat Prevo; many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to his primary caregivers near the end of his life, Carri Eastburn and Joan Gendron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne E. Prevo in 1996; son, Bruce R. Prevo in 1981; grandson, Brady Sies in 1998; brother, Dick Prevo. Published in the Flint Journal on 12/23/2005.
