Marie Elizabeth PRUD'HOMME

ONTONAGON - Marie Elizabeth "Prudie" Ross, 94, of Ontonagon, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at Maple Manor Nursing Center. She was born August 15, 1911, in Atlantic Mine. Marie was the second youngest of nine children born to the late Desiree "Jerry" and Elizabeth Prud'homme. Marie graduated from Chassell HIgh School in 1929. She then attended nursing school at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hancock, graduating in 1933. She worked for many years at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital in Ontonagon. On October 2, 1942, she married Francis Spencer Ross in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 1988.Marie is survived by her daughter, Linda Mary (William) Ross-Delph; two granddaughters, Allaina Marie (Tommy) Kirrane and Tristine Anna Lobeck.Along with her parents; and husband, Marie was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Joseph "Joe" Ross; brothers, Earl, John, Joseph Earl, Arthur "Bucky", Walter and Fred; and sisters, Helen and Genevieve.Funeral services will take place Monday, October 10, 2005, at the Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the church for one hour before the start of the service. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery in Ontonagon.
