WHITE, Ferdinand "Frenchy" Jean Roger Quere - Passed away on Monday, October 24, 2005. Born to Ferdinand Quere and Elizabeth White. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Joseph "Meme" White, and his two grandchildren Jean Luc White and Ricardo F.T. Abadilla. He leaves behind his mother Elizabeth White; brother, Jean White; four children, Helen Marie (White) Abadilla, Marie Josephine Rose White, Ferdinand Jean Roger White and Mrs. Elizabeth Anne-Mari (White) Sandoval and Conrad Sandoval; many grandchildren, Edgardo Manuel Tafoya, Jr., Atom James Guillory, Armando Conrado Sandoval, Marika Danielle White, Nicole Marie Tafoya, Vanessa Rose Sandoval, Angelica Louisa-Mari Sandoval, Brittany Jean-Marie White, Ferdinand "JR" Jean Roger White, Alejandro Isaias Hernandez, Jean Jacob Riley White, and Narcissa "Lisa" Birchett; great grandchildren, Diamonte Abadilla, Diavonte Abadilla, and Angelina Marie Tafoya-Couvarrubias. He was born August 17, 1939 in Crozon, France. He attended Senelon in the province of La Rochelle, Franca. He also attended La Petite Seminar in Saintes, Charente and Galileo High School in SF. He was a graduate of SF City College. On May 15, 1957, he became a U.S. citizen. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served from 1958-1972 as quartermaster aboard the USS Los Angeles overseas. He received an honorable discharge at the end of his service. He was a member of Local 1100 UFCW in SF; a valued employee for over 32 years of Macy's; and was the owner and operator of La Petite Paris Restaurant, and Cypress Avenue Enterprises. He was well known as an entrepreneur of fine wines, foods and antiques. He enjoyed life and family and was a friend to all who came his way. He was a proud, kind and generous person. He taught his family the importance of family and unity. He was a role model to all of his friends and family. He fought a long and hard battle with persistence, tenacity, and determination which he lost to cancer. We are so proud of him. Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 10:30am at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES, 1225 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa. Interment, Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 9:00 am.
