EVERGREEN - Funeral services for Toni Rabalais Buckley will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen, La. with the Rev. Patrick Braquet officiating.Interment will be in the church cemetery under direction of Melancon Funeral Home of Bunkie.Toni, 46, of Bunkie, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in her residence. She was a member of the Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen, La. She earned a degree in nursing as well as a paralegal degree from LSUA. She worked as a nurse from 1977-1996 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Buckley, of Bunkie; two children, Kristi Ponthier Graham, of Alexandria, and Jesse Ryan Cross, of Colfax; three stepsons, Caleb Brendan Buckley, Jake Bram Buckley and Cain Michael Buckley, all of Lafayette; her parents, Maggie and Gerald Rabalais, of Bunkie; a brother, Wayne Rabalais, of Bunkie; a sister, Renee McCoy, of Bunkie; and a granddaughter, Maggie Marie Graham, of Alexandria. Toni is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her English bulldog, Zydeco.Visitation was observed from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Melancon Funeral Home with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. Today, visitation will be observed at Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen, La. from 8:30 a.m. until service time. Please note the two different places for visitation.Melancon Funeral Home of Bunkie is in charge of arrangements.
