Oscar Rabideau -- Bourbonnais -- Visitation for Oscar E. Rabideau, 91, of Bourbonnais, will be from 9-10:15 a.m. Friday at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, west Kankakee. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee, where he was a member. Rev. Charles Wheeler will officiate. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, L'Erable. He died Sunday (Dec. 4, 2005) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home, Bourbonnais. Mr. Rabideau worked at Amberg File and Index. He was also a sheet metal worker. He was born May 18, 1914, in L'Erable, the son of John B. and Ida Dutour Rabideau. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre. He was a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer at Provena St. Mary's Hospital. Surviving are one sister-in-law, Helen Rabideau of Momence; six nieces, Ivadelle (Reese) Trude of Falcon, Mo., Bernadette Denault of Kankakee, Carol Rabideau of Glendale Heights, Sr. Janet Rabideau SL of Nerinx, Ky., Marsha Williams of Chicago, Debra (Bruce) Zimmerman of Momence; one nephew, Harold (Janis) Noel of Bourbonnais/Venice, Fla.; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews. Deceased are one sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Perry Noel; and one brother, Leland Rabideau.
